All the UK Celtic nations will be contributing and Celtic Nation Kernow will be supporting the sharing of Kernow's and other Celtic national intangible cultural heritage. There are links from the Kernow webpage to other sites offering information about Kernow and other Celtic nations participating in recording their intangible cultural heritage.
With thanks to Lowender for the opportunity to participate and help promote this important topic. Meur ras.
This event was organised by Lowender to highlight the importance of Cornish Intangible Cultural Heritage and getting listings on the UK Heritage Inventory and was held at the Buttermarket in Redruth.
The Celtic Nation Kernow team were pleased to support this and encourage interest in Cornish and wider Celtic cultural heritage. A very enjoyable event with varied number of stands from several major Cornish heritage organisations.
We shared our vision and goals of promoting Cornish heritage and gave advice on how involvement with heritage organisations could help forward their career prospects. Our other aims were to let people know what our goals are and what we are working on at the moment and encourage younger people to become involved.
Our FREE membership promotion was very successful with 21 new members joining Celtic Nation Kernow. Lots of interest from some new members in participating at events and contribution to activities.
We really appreciate members contributing something to Celtic Nation Kernow such as articles for the website, newsletter or videos relating to Cornish and wider Celtic themes. Contact us at celticnationkernow@gmail.com.
